The Island makes another appearance in the American surf magazines: Peter Devries by Jeremy Koreski in the March issue of Surfer.
You can click on the image to enlarge, but here’s what the caption has to say:
“Although a few of his cohorts have earned some notoriety for their Into-The-Wild antics, Canada’s Peter Devries has forged his fame on his surfing ability alone. While the cold lineups in and around Tofino have certainly provided a unique backdrop to his polished attack, his win at the Coldwater Classic over the world’s best WQS contenders proved one thing: When it comes to surfing the frigid lineups of British Columbia, there is simply no one better.”
High praise, eh?
